Due to the recent acquisition of two more Case IH dealerships in Young and Cowra, we are seeking to employ a highly motivated Group Parts Manager to be responsible for the branches in our Southern Region – Gunnedah, Tamworth, Young and Cowra.

 

About the role

The Group Parts Manager - Southern Region will be responsible for proactively leading our aftersales parts function; from stock management, pricing, supply chain and vendor relationship management, required to ensure robust commercial outcomes across multiple sites. The role has a particular continuous improvement focus, including developing systems and processes that will mitigate risk from both aging stock, and maximising stock on hand. Paying particular attention to cost management across the parts departments will be key to ensuring an acceptable absorption rate outcome.

 

This role will require the incumbent to work in conjunction with the Group Service Manager – Southern Region, to drive a seamless delivery and repair timeline for our customers machinery and equipment.

 

Key result areas in this position will include:

  • managing your region’s reporting and planning in conjunction with your Northern region counterpart, including inputs required for the annual company-wide audit.
  • ensuring all B2B interactions are structured, planned and executed with our customers in mind to maintain strong relationships built on trust, reliability and credibility.
  • pro-actively identify cost saving opportunities and initiatives through the effective use of analysis and reporting tools including assessing inventory and warehousing practices for opportunities to improve efficiencies.
  • pro-actively manage leave liability and time management practices.
  • a commitment to maintaining health, safety and security standards and principles, both within your own workplace and the identification of potential risks throughout Kenway and Clark.
  • managing and growing our industry partnerships, both supply-based and dealer-based.
  • providing input ahead of and driving discussion at our quarterly Parts Department meetings.
  • preparing leadership team presentations for the CEO and CFO as required.
  • other tasks or responsibilities as required by the organisation, having regard to skills, training and experience.

 

 About you

To succeed in this role, you will have a proven parts & supply chain background including multi-site management and appropriate leadership experience, ideally within the agricultural machinery industry.

 

With proven skills in understanding, analysing and further improving parts department performance across multi-site operations, it is important that you have, or can demonstrate:

  • a qualification; bachelor's degree; or diploma in a related field or appropriate certification, and/or significant experience in the agricultural machinery sector is highly desirable.
  • experience in B2B marketing and planning, including goal setting and budget setting.
  • experience in leading and developing teams and driving improved performance.
  • well-developed analytical and influencing skills. interprets data and insight to formulate businesses decisions and opportunities.
  • diligence, good communication and an ability to quickly build a rapport to form strong ongoing relationships, through lateral thought, and openness to new approaches.
  • strong report writing skills.
  • solid communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • a robust background in creating and implementing processes that improve parts-related efficiencies including leading negotiations, in line with your Northern Region counterpart and other stakeholders within the company.
  • an awareness of and curiousness about trends and changes in the Agricultural industry; and uses this information to identify ways to leverage opportunities for the business.
  • a commitment to quality and detail
  • strong customer service skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • exceptional time management skills and an ability to manage priorities well.

 

This Group role will require the successful candidate to travel regularly to each of the sites within their region to support the Parts Departments within them, so you must be willing and able to travel.
